The Tongchuan Xiaoqu Waterworks Renovation and Upgrading Project
Construction Content

This project focuses on process upgrading and intelligent empowerment, and mainly includes the following four core units: 1. Construction of an Integrated Smart Water Management and Maintenance Platform Build a smart control system covering the entire water supply chain, integrating functions such as real-time water quality monitoring, intelligent system regulation, data mining and modeling, and scientific decision support, to achieve digitalized and visualized management throughout the entire production process. 2. Upgrade and Optimization of the Weir Process Replace the original traditional carbon steel collecting weirs with new food-grade stainless steel collecting weirs featuring an anti-floating design. This upgrade not only improves the overall aesthetics of the facilities but also effectively eliminates the risk of secondary contamination of drinking water, significantly ensuring the stability of treated water quality. 3. Upgrade of the Intelligent Chemical Dosing System Introduce fully automatic intelligent chemical dosing devices to replace the traditional manual dosing method. The system automatically and precisely adjusts the dosage based on incoming water quality data. While ensuring that water quality meets the required standards, this upgrade achieves precise control and reduces the number of operation and maintenance personnel required. 4. Valve Automation Upgrade and Retrofitting Carry out full-plant automation retrofitting of all valves and integrate them with the comprehensive management and control platform. This significantly enhances the plant's remote control and automated operation and maintenance capabilities, effectively reducing the number of on-site O&M personnel and lowering routine management costs.

Construction Results

Through systematic upgrading, the project has achieved remarkable economic and social benefits:

1. Process Optimization Achieves a "Quality and Quantity" Win-Win

Through optimized process design and intelligent equipment upgrading, the water production capacity has been increased without occupying additional land. Under the same process conditions, the effluent water quality has been significantly improved, achieving both quality enhancement and efficiency improvement.

2. Smart Water Management Promotes the "Five Unifications" in Urban-Rural Water Supply

Leveraging the smart water platform and pipeline network upgrades, the project has successfully achieved unified management of urban and rural water supply across five dimensions—water sources, pipeline networks, water quality, supervision, and services (the "Five Unifications"). This has greatly promoted the equalization of basic public services between urban and rural areas.

3. Intelligent Control Facilitates Cost Reduction and Efficiency Enhancement

Through automation and intelligent upgrading, the water plant's operations have achieved unmanned O&M, autonomous regulation, smart work order dispatch, precise metering, intelligent early warning, and decision-making guidance. Annual chemical consumption has been reduced by 20%, significantly lowering overall operational costs.
